Our Story

Hello there,

Welcome to our online store, it’s nice you are here! 

We are Gabriela & Claudio, the founders of Pelletteria Italiana.

We met for the first time in the vibrant and cosy Groningen in 2015. Some time later we found that we both have in common one passion,  the one  for the Italian beauty and the “Made in Italy” brand, which is one of a kind.  We also admired the nordic style of the youth in the Netherlands, as it combines the urban-minimal comfort with an evergreen classic elegance.

In 2017 Claudio's mom, Rita, introduced me to  the world of handmade Italian leather bags. She used to gift us all these beautiful bags from different artisans. This is when it all started! 

We thought about  launching our online store when we realised to what extent brands always overcharge for leather bags, and we proposed changing that. We went to the heart of Italian leather craftsmanship, to the beautiful Florence. We selected a few items that we believed will match the hectic and vibrant  lifestyle of the people here in the Netherlands, and we created our collection. It preserves the best quality, but it maintains an affordable price at the same time.

We currently live in Amsterdam, and our mission is  to serve you with the best Italian leather bags, at simply the best price you can find.

All our items  are produced in Florence, the heart of Italy’s leather artisans. With our work we want to support small entrepreneurs to commercialise their finest items, and to prove to our customers they do not have to overpay luxury brands in order to be pleased by the best quality and design.
